Such an interesting night, at least 3/4 of the crowd came to see Iron Butterfly, which had to follow this set.
That portion of the crowd didn't get the opening act at all. There was booing, and snarly hissing verbs bantered about.
All the while the band plays on, heads bob, feet tap, alien planets zip by.....all aggression dissolves.
Sorry Jimi, sorry Jim and Janis, Duane and all the rest, you were great, but you didn't do this.
Transformation indeed.

Sorry Cliff, for a prior rebuke, I do understand that it always was one of those "you had to be there" things. There was so much more to it as it happened.

Earlier that day...

The show has its moments, but Dark Star is only 11 minutes long and the sound quality could be better. Cotsman's remaster is a solid four-star file, no more, no less. And 94 pts is a good score. Not sure why you took offence to my review, I wasn't in a bad mood at the time and it seems in line with several other reputable reviewers. Peace...
